A couple of months ago we were so very honored that Representative Mike Fitzpatrick (PA) introduced a Resolution in Congress in support of our National Rare Eye Disease Awareness Day.  Rep. Fitzpatrick submitted it in Braille to call attention to the fact that there is still much work to be done to make everything in our country accessible for blind and visually impaired Americans.  In addition, this Resolution raises awareness to the need for research funding and genetic testing for those affected by a retinal disease.

NOW, we are working to gain support of Resolution 625 from all of our country’s Representatives in Congress – that’s where YOU come in!

Will you spend a few minutes today to help us by calling or emailing your Representative and asking that he/she support our work for Rare Eye Disease Awareness?  See below for the exact information you need to reach out!

Please scroll down and see just a few of the children that you are impacting. All of us at the Curing Retinal Blindness Foundation are so very honored that you are jumping in to help!
Many thanks,
Curing Retinal Blindness Foundation

Dear Rep. [Name]
Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (PA) is seeking Members of Congress to co-sponsor H.Res. 625.  H.Res. 625 expresses support for the designation of February 28, 2016, as “National Rare Eye Disease Awareness Day”. This day will raise awareness to the needs of blind individuals, especially the need for accessible materials for blind students. Additionally, this resolution will raise awareness for the need to increase funding and promote access to genetic testing.  As one of your constituents concerned with rare eye diseases, I am asking you for your support of this resolution.
